Aurelio DeLaRosa, am the owner and head coach of the DeLaRosa Submission Wrestling Academy. We are an Affiliate school of the ILLO, (International Luta Livre Organization) and teach Andyconda Luta Livre since April 2011.  
Luta Livre, which means, “free fighting,” is said to be a cross between catch wrestling and judo. Our Luta Livre has a standup component, which includes striking; punching, kicking, elbows, knee strikes and kicks making it a complete the art.
Andyconda Luta Livre is a complete grappling system. We teach students submission holds such as armbars, kimuras, chokes, and guard passing techniques. The distinct difference is a large part of the techniques taught in Luta Livre are banned from most IBJJ and BJJ grappling schools and competitions such as neck cranks, leg locks, and a variety of pain holds.
Andyconda Luta Livre strategy, techniques, tradition, and rules are the “top game” like most wrestlers. We teach our fighters to achieve a takedown, positional control, and submission. The absence of the gi allows for an easier transition to MMA.
